  I can see why people have rated this place lower because of the service; it was slow, but it was also friendly so give it a chance. The food was great and they only have Fernie Brewing Co beer on tap, which to me warrants a thumbs up!

  If you've visited before, might be worth giving this one another shot. There was mention of a new chef in the kitchen, so some of the older, negative reviews here may be outdated/irrelevant now. Looking forward to returning for brunch while we're in town!

  Stopped in for dinner last night...so good! We had wonderful service from Matthew and i highly recommend the gluten free pizza crust!

  Food is yummy. I love their handcraft sourdough!!! . I'd been super enjoyed my brunch until I ate a piece of egg shell under my smoked salmon. That's BAD!!!!! But my boyfriend enjoys their food!

  We visited The Loaf for dinner as a group, and were pleasantly surprised by all aspects of our time there. The 6 of us each ordered a variety of mains off the menu, and every single one was a hit. Bruschetta (pictured) and garlic bread knots made for an amazing starter. Our server Codey was very on top of things and very accommodating of special requests and a last minute change of entree after ordering. Food arrived quickly, and as mentioned before, was outstanding on all counts. Dessert was a great finale, only got a photo of the chocolate cake, the sticky toffee pudding was gone before I could get a pic.

  We stopped here for a cup of tea and to warm up after a long hike. We ended up ordering soup though! It is a cozy spot, with some interesting choices on their menu. Gluten free options are limited.
